Escape Games PDX To Use Portlandia Room To Help Kids & Furry Friends  Coming July

Leading Northwest Portland-based escape gaming company Escape Games PDX has announced it will use their Portlandia escape room this July to help out the Children’s Cancer Association & Oregon Humane Society.

60 minutes. 1 way out.  Are you game?!? How about an experience that not only tests your wits but also enables you to give back to the community? Sounds awesome, right? Well, premiere Northwest Portland-based escape game company Escape Games PDX has announced it will do just that by donating $5 from every player in the Portlandia escape room to help out some deserving kids and adorable animals.

“This July, we are excited to partner with the Oregon Humane Society and Children Cancer Association to donate $5 from every person who attempts an escape in our wildly fun Portlandia escape room,” declared Amy Philip, the owner of Escape Games PDX. “It has always been part of our goal to give back to the community while providing an exciting experience to our customers.  With the support of our customers, we hope to give a lot to each of these incredible organizations and make a big difference.”

“Children’s Cancer Association’s (CCA) programs leverage music, friendship, play, and resources to create transformative moments of joy for 20,000 children, teens, and their family members each year. CCA knows that for seriously ill children and their families every moment is precious, and unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about creating joy today. Escape Games PDX wants to help in growing their MyMusicRx program and buying instruments for their music carts.
The Oregon Humane Society is committed to rescuing, healing & adopting over 11,000 pets annually. The organization is actively engaged in pet adoption, education & animal cruelty investigation programs. There facility in North Portland is set up to help in all facets of an animals life and you immediately know these animals are being taken such great care of until they find their forever home. The Oregon Humane Society also put on many wonderful events every year, like their wonderfully popular Doggie Dash that owner, Amy Philip has volunteered at and brought her own adopted dog, Truman.

Locked inside one of the coolest rooms in Portland, players will work together with friends, family members, or colleagues to discover hidden clues, solve challenging puzzles, crack clever codes and escape after an exciting 60 minutes. Escape rooms have become insanely popular over the last 2 years, growing from just a handful back in late 2013 to well over 2500 today.  It’s especially popular with companies looking for a new team building experience for their group, birthday parties, bachelorette parties and even family reunions.
