Producing an escape room is a lot like playing one: sometimes you’ll look up and realize that you don’t have any time left. In both cases, the solution is the same: don’t let it phase you and keep working! Luckily, we have a small but mighty team who’s working to make this one of the most stand-out experiences we’ve ever produced!
Our set specialist, Bob the builder (no seriously, we have a Bob who is a builder) has been working tirelessly to convert our blank space into a spookifying attic. One of the coolest motifs of the room is the exposed lath and plaster which has made its way into the design documents and marketing. It was Bob’s responsibly to develop the look and feel of the room—so when you get that eerie tingle down your spin when you walk in the room, you can thank him!
Our electronics specialist, Gabriel, has developed a new and unique interface that players will constantly interact with—something we’ve absolutely never done before and absolutely couldn’t have done without him! This room has lighting cues, sound clips, video clips, electronic typewriters, and oh-so-many programmable LEDs. Gab’s had his work cut out for him (and he has delivered)! When the sound of whispering voices cues perfectly with a lighting change and gives you an overwhelming sense of dread, you can thank him!
Our puzzle and graphic designer, Sam, is the one who has to write these updates. To be frank, self-promotion is not one of his stronger attributes. When you get frustrated at a puzzle that (you think) makes no sense, you can thank him!
And that’s all for now! We’re doing everything we can to get this room out next month—if you’re on our mailing list, you will be the first to know when it’s open.
Tale next time!
